On October 7 City Farmers Nursery called me to give me the diagnosis and prescription for my soil. I cannot understand the writing too well but click on the picture below for the audio version. Speaking of the picture below, don't every do a Google image search for chicken poop. Trust me!!

Raquel, it sounds like you have quite a bit to add to your soil!

Raquel- what a cool resource for you! I didn't know you could take a soil sample in for analysis. I'll have to keep that in mind, as we are moving soon to a new place that will have a large garden space, and I'm excited to get my hands in the dirt. I'm wondering how your progress is coming along? Were you able to treat your soil?

I love the title for your blog post! Poop or compost is essential to a healthy garden. Growing up in Northeast Ohio, a large portion of our food came from gardens we attended to in the summer. My dad mastered the art of getting our garden to produce. He always used compost and poop from our pet rabbits. Good luck to you!
